1993 7.3 starting problem
need your guys help. I have a 93 7.3l idi, 186k. when I go to start it it starts right up then dies. then it takes like 12
times to finally get it started but it doesnt start right up, it slowly starts to run, like its not getting fuel. but when it does finally start its
good the rest of the day. will start right up the first time the rest of the day. I do have either fuel smoke coming out of the tailpipe or oil
can't tell. when it does finally start it blows fuel smoke everywhere. any ideas or has anyone had this happen

#5 being the far more common issue there in the list.It doesn't say but the most common issue is the fuel return line and o-rings.Many of us replace the lift pumps,block it off with a plate and install electric fuel pumps so in this event,she generally primes a whole lot faster,even though it still takes lots of cranking to fill the ip back up,it saves priming the line from tank and filter using the starter.
