I have seen quite a few questions about the difference in the new Iconic Silver vs the old Ignot Silver. The new Iconic is darker. I tried my best to take some pics before I left of my old 2017 F250 and the new 2020 Tremor I just picked up. Sorry the lighting wasn't that great but you can see the difference, hopefully this will help.
PS the new Tremor is AWESOME!
The Iconic is slightly darker. Kinda has a slight blue hue to it too. Was your 2017 leveled/lifted? It looks taller than the Tremor. Also, please share thoughts on that 7.3. Enjoy!!
Agreed, I cancelled my order today. I'll keep my 17, 6.2 in White Gold. It has the options I want that aren't available anymore. No more moon roof on super cab's, they decided to continue with crew cab moon roofs though, the one's that were giving them trouble. No more Manual Shift on the fly, no Silver spruce until March or April, no White Gold or Ingot Silver etc. A new 1930's color selection and so on.
Ford has done some stupid things this year IMO.
Here is another Iconic Silver vs the Ignot Silver. My old truck and my new truck. I like the new silver, for some reason it seems to show a bit more contrast along the body lines when the light hits it.
Looks and color are subjective. Personally I love the new Iconic Silver. Have the Ingot Silver on two of my vehicles and the new Iconic Silver looks richer. It almost makes the Ingot Silver look faded.
Thanks for the comparison pics. Both are nice looking trucks.
Mike, are those wheels 18” or 20”? What brand of tires are they coming with? Your new truck looks taller than the old one.
Like to hear your impressions of the 7.3, too.
Thank you. Both trucks have 18" wheels. I ordered the new truck with the AT tires 275-70 18 (Goodyear Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure) and the snow plow/camper package to get the 11900 GVWR for increased payload. So far the 7.3 w/ the 10 speed feels like its going to be a significant step up compared to the 6.2 in the 2011. Maybe later when I have some time I will start a post on the the comparison between the two.

Ummmm, why did you cancel your order and why did you order it knowing that certain things weren’t or are still available or the new SD.

I look forward to your comparison & more reviews of the new truck. I have almost the same truck arriving soon. Good luck with it!

I know, I probably shouldn't have ordered it. I got caught up in the 7.3 and 10 speed hype. I'll wait until Ford hears enough grumbling about the options and colors they deleted and add them back, maybe even improve the dismal numbers the 7.3 is displaying. I've had two guys bugging me to sell them my truck in the last year and I felt a bit pressured too.

Where are you finding all these dismal 7.3 numbers? I have yet to see a bad number, poor fuel mileage or complaint of any kind?
