Alright so I lost reverse, 3-4th all at one time. First it started with one really hard shift into third and then the problems snowballed in a matter of a 10 min drive trying to get it home. So now I’m sitting with knowing I have to drop the trans out for rebuild or replacement. I really don’t want to buy a new one and would rather rebuild. My truck is basically stock other then a tuner. I’ve had it since it was at 45k miles and she’s pushing around 155k now. Already studded the heads and I put new ford heads on when I did it. My question is does anyone have the clutch spring compressed and the pump tool to get the job done that I could borrow/rent? I really don’t want to pay the sticker price for the tools that I will never use again to sit in my toolbox. I’m located in Denver, just checking to see if there is anyone out here or close to that’s done a trans rebuild. I’m a mechanic by trade but I honestly don’t work on light duty very much anymore, semis are my normal. Tip and tricks for the rebuild would be appreciated and I know there’s a few post with tips and tricks and I’ve read them but again my main concern was the tools. Thanks
