I thought the activation just requires the app and the vehicle. Setup through the Sync screen.

If you actually do need dealer assistance, most dealers are open 7 days a week. Service department might have limited hours, but you wouldn't need them.

Texted the Commercial Truck Mngr that sold it to me and he gave me a name to call... turns out the newer Samsung (or Android) phones have an issue where they stay in the radio and lock it up. Had to do a "Master Reset" on the Radio, shut the truck off, turn it back on then FordPass gave me an "Activation Code" on the Radio Display - "I" just had to O.K. it and everything was fine and back to normal AND my truck was still the correct picture as well!!! It also still had my wife's Fusion in there too... ? Whatever, now I can watch the service and recalls on that too!!! Weird CHIT! I was the "Authorized Representative" the App was looking for - the owner of the truck... duh!

This may be a dumb question but, does a master reset clear all presets and any other personalizations that may have been made? WIFI connections, channel presets, etc...?

I didn't have any WiFi stuff setup so I don't know, but it kept all my Channel Presets - looked like just major software settings only! (so maybe WiFi - lost my phone... no biggie)

Stolen raptor

Someone stole my (Ford Truck with Ford Pass) from my home. I had the fordpass app working but it seems like the data has been removed and now I cannot locate my truck. Can someone help me find my truck via its GPS system or with my VIN number. I’m frustrated because I’m not getting the response that I thought I’d get from the police. Please help!

Your posting doesn’t sound believable.

Call your insurance company and ask them for help.

Even if you are "Legit" Jenny, none of us could help you because someone would have to be inside your truck to give us access to the "Radio" once we tried to configure your VIN in our Ford Pass App! Not Happ'nin' if your truck is stolen!!! Sorry kid! (The App Setup, when adding a new vehicle, asks you to go to the truck and start it up, then wait for the Sync Software to give you a Key Code, you plug that into the app on the phone and you're done)

There seems to be a few issues with the latest releases of FordPass. My dealer said that a lot of customers with Android devices were having and some are still having this issue with the GPS location of the truck. I have an iPhone and mine no longer shows the Oil Life, deleting the app and reinstalling as well as re-authorizing the truck has not fixed this in my case. I have also been having lots of problems with the remote start not working as well within the app, this started with the second last update of FordPass.

Not sure about others as well, but when I used to do a search for fuel stations, I had it set as a filter to only show stations that offer diesel fuel and this worked great as well as showing the prices at each station. Mine now shows all feeling stations, I cannot filter out and specify just diesel and it also no longer shows the prices at each station.

I had to do the master reset on the radio. All is working with my android phone now.

You're right - I never really looked before because I normally use "GasBuddy", but all I get is a "Gas Station" Icon, No "fuel types", no "fuel prices" - just a location near me... gee thanks!!!! I guess I have to pull off the highway and check each one myself OR ignore them and keep using GasBuddy!!!

WiFi info will definitely be erased so you’ll have to put that back in.

As far as the other things you mentioned, it can be hit or miss because some have said they didn’t lose anything after said master reset and some lost everything.

I would lean more towards everything since the system is being put back to factory settings.

I have a 2021 f250 with sync 3 and location was disabled for Ford Pass Connect in the truck. I went into settings, Ford pass connect, connectivity, and enable location.
