Funny dealer experience, mostly positive
1) New wheels and valvestems due to leaking air.
2) Drivers battery leaking
3) rattle in passenger door, foam kit installed to stop rattle
4) tailgate recall performed
5) Whatever the carpet recall crap was
6) Asked them not to perform the LED headlight recall, but they did it.
When I went to pick the truck up the air pressure on all 6 tires read 90-93PSI. Figured maybe the sensors were not reporting accurate yet so got out and checked one manually. Sure enough over 90 psi. I went back into the service office and asked why they would air up 90psi on all 6 tires when the tires are rated for 80 and should be 70-75 front and 65 rear. They called the tech on his lunch break and had him on speaker phone and he says he always airs duallys up to 90. Wonder how many other guys are driving around rattling their teeth with over inflated tires from this tech. Wasn't a big deal, easy enough to air them down and set them correctly. They left white chalk all over the tires and didnt clean the new wheels. They only replaced one of the two batteries. I'll just run them till they leak again or swap them out for interstates soon. I had been somewhat satisfied with the few trips to the dealer service. Trips like this makes it hard to leave a glowing review. I'm sure it depends on the dealer, but my experience with RAM trucks service has been a lot better than Ford. The little air pressure deal makes me nervous to have them perform oil or fuel filter changes. Usually do all that myself and will continue to do that. Hopefully this is the last trip to dealer for a while.

I had 2 a 12 that was bought back and a 14 that was in the shop even other month. When I got rid of it I had a 2" thick stack of repair orders.
I'm interested in that door rattle fix and the foam kit. Do you have any more details on that?
But I can't say I have been ever been satisfied with the quality of work or service from a dealership (maybe once or twice I have) (multiple fords, chevy's, GMC or Cadillac). Independent mechanics I have found some not so good one's but in general better they are better than dealership mechanics. If the warranty repairs could be done at an independant place I think I would have it done there even if i had to pay labor sometimes. I am sure there are plenty of good mechanics working in dealerships, it's just disappointing to see such poor quality work being done.
I have had all the following happen:
- brake lines rerouted on the wrong side of a heat shield after an engine replacement
- pinch welds bent over and flatten from jacking up on them (ended up pushing the bottom of the fender out)
- Aluminum control arm broken from hammering on it to remove a ball joint. Cracked the control arm so the ball joint flopped around and didn't stay seated
- brake backing plates mangled trying to get off rotors (to lazy or dumb to turn the adjuster in)
- broken wire harness when replacing an alternator, also broke a bracket used to restrain harness (it was ready to fall into the fan)
- missing hardware or loose hardware.
