Would any of you with the manual transfer case have a photo of the shift cable/bracket assembly as bolted to the transfer case? I installed a 2017 transfer case into my Coyote swapped 1979 F150 and I need to see how the cable is secured to the bracket. The illustration at the Dealership more or less depicts a cartoonish looking clip and a part number but no real clear part description or how it appears installed. Thanks for your help.
That's a much better rendering but even in that depiction it doesn't show any means of securing the cable into the groove/cutout. That's why I was looking for an actual photo. I would think some sort of clip would be used to keep the cable from sliding out of the housing?
Those photos are perfect! Thanks a ton. The clip was included when I purchased the cable, I just couldn't picture in my mind how it held it in but problem solved! I wondered what that extra hole drilled in the bracket was for but it looks as though it's not used for anything.
I'd like to get a 78-79 Bronco and swap in that new 7.3 Godzilla from the 2020 Superduty. Smaller foot print than a Coyote and with 430 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque out of the box and bullet proof would make a killer Bronco.

No prob from one classic Ford guy to another. I had a 77 f150 4x4 for 13 years. Sold it to my brother in law. Couldn't fit the whole family in it. Someday I'll get a bronco.
