Local dealer has 3 2020 Rangers in stock. All have mid-November build dates.

 

Just hit the local Ford dealer last weekend. All Rangers and Exploders were 2020. Didn't look at build dates.

No Super Cabs, only Crew.

 

Curious to know how to tell what the build dates are, a local dealer has 2 2019's wondering how long he has
been sitting on them and how that translates to his eagerness to sell them with more discounting. thanks.

Build date is on the window sticker, bottom center-ish as I recall. It looks like a date. If the dealer cross indexes to window sticker on their website, there ya go. Month and year of production are also on the door jamb sticker if the window sticker has been removed.

 

ok thanks for that help, i was able to see window sticker on the dealers site,
and i see the dates as 8/12/19 the other is 10/23/19.

 

what if the dates are cut off, like buying used, should I go for it, is there's a way to know the date of it?

 

Not an exact date. But the sticker on the driver door always gives the month and year of manufacture.

The other thing that you can do if you want to spend the money is run a Carfax. That usually gives a date when the truck was shipped to the dealer.
