Does anyone have the latest and greatest alignment specs for a ‘19 F-250? I knew for some time they were saying less caster then heard recently they might be saying higher caster now. I’m at 3.3/3.7 and it tracks perfectly with no pull I just have the faintest steering wheel shimmy at 65 that two sets of tires and several balancing appts have not removed. I’m inclined to think a set of radius arms with +1 or 2 degrees of caster may be the solution. Just to clarify my steering wheel shimmy is minor at best I’m just OCD. Thank you!
Shimmy while driving on flat smooth ground, or with changing road conditions?
unfortunately shimmy is not an obvious caster fix item. Caster should relate to return to center and propensity to track / not wander.
High caster can promote death wobble with underlying wear and issues, so my understanding is ford has been lowering caster into the twos. I’m In the mid 4s and very happy.
I just took delivery of my 2019 F350 (im in the minority in mine is 2WD), but on the 3 hour drive home from the dealership my initial impression of the steering feel was that this truck needs more caster.
It has very little return to center and it seems like I have to steer it to center. I think if it had more caster it would be much nicer to drive on the highway.
