Wheel spacer question

I'm running Method wheels with 35 12.5 r18 tires on my 99.5 F250 4x4. It came to me with this setup. I get a little rub on the leaf springs sometimes so I'd like to move the wheels outboard with steel spacers. I figure I only need to move them about 1.5", which is the minimum thickness for adapter type spacers that bolt on rather than just slip over the lug studs.

Would there be handling/tire wear issues if I only put spacers on the front wheels?

I have some listed in the Marketplace. 1 3/4", they are aluminum though.

Am presuming this is for SRW and not DRW.

Cannot answer about rubbing from adding the spacers. Can give a perspective of widening just the front.

Had a vehicle where the front was 4" wider than the rear (2" each side"). On heavily traveled blacktop highways, stability was a little off as the front and rear wheels did not track with each other. Feeling was that of the truck trying figure out how it wanted to surf the rut. Added 2" spacers to the rear and life was good.

So, my vote is that spacers in the front should get matching ones in the rear. Or, at least have plans to add spacers to the rear if stability slips a little.

Yes SRW and that's exactly the kind of experience I was hoping to hear about, thank you.

Here's my opinion on this. YMMV.

The best steel spacers that you can get for the Superduty & Excursion is from Wheeladapter.com at ~$370/pair. Next best would be from Bora, but they are aluminum and still run ~$200/pair. I am currently running a set of aluminum spacers from amazon that I got for under $200 for all 4 wheels. They work fine, but I went cheap for my Excursion as I am planning for an axle swap to coil overs.

X-2 on Wheeladapter. Pricey, but after I put them on, I never looked back.
