We had a few inches at our house too. A lot easier to plow when its fluffy. Only downside is it blows and drifts easier. Got the chains tightened and battery tender on so I'm ready for the snow storm. Now watch it will only be a few inches again.
Took the Explorer to the body shop for them to look at and sign insurance check. They estimated $637 for the drivers headlight! I told him to order an aftermarket SET and it was around $200. That plus the hood lettering was estimated at $133 and I found them for $17.00. Seriously, they are plastic letters for $133?! So between the two I saved them enough to cover my deductible. Now for the weather to warm up a bit so I can drop it off to get repaired (don't want to drive the diesel in the frigid temps).
Yeah it will be intersting to see what we actually get for snow this time. It was darn nipply this moring. Thermometer showed -21 when I got up this morning.
Good job Cory. Crazy the cost of factory items sometimes. Then other times they can actually be cheaper.
That is too cold Troy. Only -11 here LOL.
Ahh that's not fair you are a having a heat wave!

Yeah it could be a mess for sure. We will be gone all weekend so I won't have to move snow till I get back Sunday late afternoon/evening and most of it will probably be done. Jason is coming over to clean the yard so the lady taking care of the dogs can get in and out.
Good evening MN.
picked up 6.5". Cold front moving in, wind is kicking up. Won't be up to MN standards but will be a little below zero in the morning with 20mph or so wind. Not nice. Maybe another little storm Saturday night into Sunday.
Boy if you listen to the news they make it sound like this snow storm is the storm of the century! My goodness it another MN snow storm.......grab a shovel and get over it.
Jim maybe the snow will stick around for ya to ride on.

it should. Doesn’t look like any warm ups for a while anyway
good luck on your storm. Don’t take all the snow Because that’s the one visiting me this weekend. Leave at least 6” of snow in it.
I had 3-4" of snow at my place if I were really optimistic Jim.
I hate when I cannot sleep on the weekend.
I got around 4” from it also. Little under what was guessed. Around 9” - 11” or so on the ground. Last forecast I saw doesn’t have much for us until maybe next weekend
Good morning fellas.
Sold a couple of snowblowers that marginally worked a couple weeks ago - and realized that shoveling my driveway was as fast, with less cursing and snowl flying around.... good deal. If we really got a charge of snow, I'm sure I'd be in for more work, but it wasn't bad. Finally had a reason to start the skidoo up and take it for a maiden ride this year. Then got back and found a couple parts that need to be fixed - hood latches, etc Some things are getting hard to find for a '97 - go figure! Ordered them up...went out onto the lake yesterday after the wind died down. Let the kids drive around for a bit - they had a ball, of course. A little bit of snow helps give some coverage.
