Broken stud at the bottom of the exhaust manifold...

Hey guys, I need some help on a 2009 f150 exhaust flange stud is broken. This is at the bottom of the exhaust manifold, (there are 2) NOT the bolts that connect the manifold to the engine. There are two that connect to the cat. It would be at the top of the cat and bottom of the exhaust manifold.

Anyway, does anyone know if they could be beat out with a big hammer? Are they pressed in? Do I need to cut it off and drill it out? I have never had any luck drilling through thick steel...

Edit...5.4L gas motor, sorry.

Those studs are threaded in. For what it's going to take to get it out, you might be better off replacing the manifold, if even with a used junkyard one.

Here's the exhaust manifold R&R procedure in case you choose to go that route.

It's a 5.4 gas engine, sorry. A new manifold?! Sheesh. I did see a stud extractor tool, maybe with some heat and penetrating lube...
