So while going through the various things on my f250 revival I decided to try and get the dome light in the cab working. Checked the fuse it’s good. The filament in the bulb is also good. I couldn’t even get it to come out though and if I squeeze it any harder I’ll break it. I know these very seldom came with jamb switches so I’m guessing the toggle for the dome light is to turn the headlight switch all the way to the left? I gave that a try and got nothing. However the dash lights flicker on and off a lot while turning it so the contacts might be dirty. How do I properly remove the headlight switch to clean them? And if that doesn’t work how should I troubleshoot this?
Have you verified voltage at the light, after turning on the switch? Use a multimeter or a test light. . If voltage is present, suspect a poor ground connection. If no voltage is present, check that the switch is functioning, with voltage leaving the switch when switch is turned on. I would simply replace any switch that is already over 50 years old, as a matter of course.
There is no toggle switch for the dome light. It is controlled by the headlight switch. Turn the headlight switch counter clockwise and it should come on. if not someone has jerry rigged it.
There is a Blue with a Red tracer feeding the Headlight switch, and the hot lead to the light assy. is a Black with a Blue tracer. here is the diagram.
If I may add my 2, I have found grounding issues were the biggest cause of things not working. As suggested 1st test for current then ground connection. Scrape paint off at connect point.

I'll second what he said. It was the issue I had on mine.
