OK, so I replaced both sensors (I new one was 10 year old and the other even older, probably original).
Now I have a new error ... malfunction in O2 heater circuit
Could I have gotten a bad sensor or how can I check for a "real" problem? Is there a fuse for these units? Can I just check for power on the connector? if so, which pins?
I made a dumb error ... forgot in the RV, when you hit the "kill" switches in the way out the door, it kills "all" power ...... I went back to check the code and only a "not ready" fault.
I need to run it a few times again (or how ever long it takes for system to reset).
I will try this but not sure if it will reset during idle.
I can't drive it for a week or so ... waiting on wheel ABS sensors ( got an ABS light and error saying sensor was bad ... think that one was a C1158 ... obsolete part ... found new ones on ebay).
If it kills "ALL" power, then it will always show a "not ready" every time you get back in and start it up since the PCM's KAM gets reset when power is removed for more than a few minutes.
Yes ... I have had it for about 10 years. Before the yearly inspection, I need to remember not to turn off the power after a fairly long trip or it will give a "not ready" and thus not pass inspection.
I leave it on for a good chunk of the year but with winter here, I like to shut it down as there is a lot of phantom drains in the RV.
I could leave it plugged in but the charger is old (20 years) and it will overcharge the batteries (it is automatic but even the low setting seems to be too high for them).
