I have a 2016 Ford F-350 6.7 and
Im having problems with my SYNC/MYFORD TOUCH. When you hit the button on the steering wheel you can’t hear the Sync lady asking what you want. I have the cell connect to the radio I can get
call and go hands hands free but can’t give the Sync any direction. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Try hitting the volume up button on the steering wheel when you think the Sync system should be responding. I don’t know if you can mute it completely but imagine you can change the prompt volume
Tried that no go. I just updated the firmware to the Sync System and that didn’t work. Could it be a bad Steering wheel Volume Seek Voice Media Switch?

So you push the button and get no response? Could be a bad button panel. They get dirty and stop working right. It's a circuit board or something like that and works off of resistance, not a traditional "switch".
Do all the other radio functions operate normally? Might be worth pulling fuse 29 on the passenger floor board fuse block for a minute just to see if it needs a reset.
