Breadcrumbs feature on new Ranger

I'd guess you have to go pretty deep for it to happen in a truck, but getting lost off road sounds like a total nightmare. So I think the breadcrumb tech talked about in this post sounds like an awesome idea. Has anyone here used something similar?

Route tracking.... available on every handheld GPS since... well... the beginning. Good work but why has this taken so long to show up an a vehicle?
