This is a UB 264 IH 6 gas job. I bought it suppose to be fresh rebuilt. OK this goes is for a trojan loader. Had it for 4 yrs storage. Its time the loader engine way past tired. So we for the tickles we did a valve job (really didn't need) replaced all new
gaskets. Engine hospital clean. Fired it up (on the floor) runs like a watch. As soon as oil pressure comes up to its relief at 45lbs it starts smoking, not blue not black but more like white cigar smoke, or fog like coolant BUT there is no coolant I only run it couple seconds. Vitals = 20 vacuum and unbelievable 150 compression on all six right on the money. Absolutely no smoke from oil fill cap nothing, so that rules out rings: And yes new umbrella seals on valves. Any thoughts? or install and let it smoke I should say more like a steam fog. sam
So this is a bare engine, on the floor, no coolant, and a short run. I would expect a little smoke, but yours sounds like a gasket leaking water directly into the intake.
But it sounds like the motor is dry.
I would hook it up to a water source, fill it and run it up to operating temp and see what it does before installing it.
Easier said than done, but I imagine installing and removing is also easier said than done, only on a larger scale.

Serving suggestion.
When I first bought it I did put radiator on and coolant, ran it for hours (on the floor) and it did the fog thing, it ran a constant 179 degrees with 45lb oil pressure. And its not water manifold leak its a inline six - no water there. Maybe it has to go to work?
