White smoke
White smoke in the exhaust when first starting a cold engine is normal condensation turning into steam. However, it is possible that coolant is getting into the combustion chamber. Your engine’s head gaskets may be failing or you may have a cracked head.
the white smoke is either coolant getting into the cylinder and being turned into steam or one of the injectors is not strong enough to cause the fuel to spray and burn properly. Is there lots of white smoke or a little ? Does it do it all the time ? Does it run rough or idle rough ? Is it up to operating temp when it does this ?
There is only a little white smoke and it seems to decrease after the engine has warmed after 6 or 7 miles. I have not noticed much coolant loss, just lost a bit of coolant when I opened the raditaor cap!.
