Thank you

I've moved on from the 6.0 and back into a half-ton gas. I appreciate all the expertise sharing that occurs within this forum. I went from a paranoid 6.0 owner to one that grew more comfortable with the truck, and this forum is largely responsible for that. I did tire of the ride, the oil leaks, and the potential repair bills, and couldn't justify those with what and how much I tow. I thank you again and wish each of you the best with your 6.0s and future endeavors. Perhaps I'll see you on the Bronco page or the Bullnose page!

I can relate to everything you said. I went from an 04 6.0 to an 03 7.3, to a 2011 EcoBoost half ton, and now ended up back in a 6 leaker. My 04 went 3 years with only needing 1 Injector and an alternator. This 06 in 11 months has had an oil cooler, set of Injectors, turbo, oil cooler, icp sensor and pigtail, and last month a motor. Now the alternator is on it's way out. It just never ends with this stupid thing. It was bought with the intention of pulling my fifth wheel. My fifth wheel has been stuck in the mountains since September because I can't get my truck to run well enough, long enough to go get it. So don't slam the door too hard cause I may be heading out of it right behind you!

Been through that door years ago. Id sell my 6 oh but will never get even 1/3 of what I have in it. Ill never sell it but it will never be used for the purpose of purchase. I just don't trust the truck. I never will. I tow and drive the 02 7.3 with 350k on it. The 03 6 oh has 34k on it. But if someone offered me the right money,,,,,,,,,,,I`d ****** it out their hand quicker than you could say bye.

I bought mine for wholesale with a couple known issues but had NO IDEA what I was in for. Now I'll clarify, before this turns into a purely bashing thread, I LOVE the truck when its running well. Tons of power. Way more pep stock than my 7.3 had tuned. Rides nice, turns heads, sounds great. It just hasn't earned my trust yet. But with a weekend off I may just arrange and attempt a rescue mission for the camper, and see what happens. Never know till you try, right?

Get yourself a plan B in case it goes wrong and go for it! If you've got the time a problem doesn't immediately become a crisis.
