Hey guys I have a 2018 6.7 and I have noticed that I have acquired a rattling noise when decelerating. It only happens when I am slowing down to stop. I hear the rattle begin from about 20 mph and until I stop. Once stopped the noise goes away. The noise sounds like it is coming from the low dash area. Maybe behind the motor some where. The noise may be there at higher speeds but I can not hear it until 20 mph and below. It does it if I am on the brakes and off the brakes.
I have searched my a** off for what it could be. I read that it could be the transmission dipstick but mine has a bracket. I did notice that even with the bracket the dipstick still vibrated so I put a big zip tie around the oil and transmission dipstick and sinched it down. I stopped the transmission dipstick from vibrating but the rattling noise continues. Any help would greatly be appreciated.
I saw on YouTube where a guy with a newer F-250 discovered that his oil dipstick tube was rattling. Check to see if it has any play to speak of. The video that I saw showed a violent vibration just idling with the hood up.
I checked the oil dipstick. It's not that. Like I said the transmission dipstick was vibrating real bad but I sinched it down with a big zip tie. I still haven't figured it out. I looked for the transmission shift link but was unable to locate it.

I'll look under there tomorrow and see. Maybe my memory is not good. Maybe I can get a picture.
