I'm sure it's been asked before but my search function doesn't work well. Has anyone put a 70-90% tint on panoramic moonroof and had issues? Has anyone put a 70-90% tint on front windshield? If so did it mess with the adaptive cruise sensors on front dash?
70% ceramic on sunroof...can't even tell it's there but in my head at least it's helping to block some heat.
50% ceramic on windshield...definitely helps cut the glare. I've had just the brow on past trucks, 1 truck with 25% on windshield (absolutely terrible), and this one with the 50%. I think it's perfect. Don't have adaptive cruise so can't help there.
I have 70% on the windshield. Can barely tell its on there. Definitely notice the heat reduction (quality film helps with heat reduction)
Only negative I have noticed, my headlights turn on faster or stay on longer than other SDs I see driving around. I had 70% applied over the factory tint on the back windows and 18% to the front windows.

Ive noticed the same thing. My headlights come on much more than they used to. That isn’t an issue in itself but the Nav screen going into night mode can make it harder to read.
I had 3M 70% installed on the windshield, back windows and back glass. 50% on the front windows rounded out my install and I really like the results.

I leave mine in night mode anyway. I guess the truck thinks it's dark so it turns on sooner on auto?
I did a light tint on my front side windows. It bugs me a little bit at night, especially when it’s completely dark and rainy. Just seems too dark to see everything safely. I can’t imagine tinting the windshield at all. Am I missing something, or are my eyes just getting old lol?

I had my front done with Llumar Air Series 80. It has a very light color (don't really notice it when driving) at it blocks about 43% heat and 99%UV (or so they say). Tint will look different if you look at it through polarized lenses.
Guess I should start a new thread but has anyone used that new window tint that works like auto darkening glasses? This new tint is supposed to go from 0% to 20%. I thought this would be a great idea for the front side windows, that way at night when you are towing you can still see the mirrors/trailer well.
I put the same XPel Prime XR (ceramic) 35% that I have on all side & back glass also on my sun roof without issue. I also have Xpel 80 on the front windshield. You will have no problems with using 70 on the sunroof.

How much of the windshield do you tint?
I illegally had shop put about a 9" band on my Nissan
Windshields have a mark that designates where you can legally tint to. Some tint the whole windshield, and I believe the OP is talking about that since he is thinking 70%.
