Is the edge CTS2 worth getting. I want o be now about regeneration it always seems to start when pulling into driveway and my 19 over 17 and 12 seems to be drinking def like I drink beer. LOL the 19 has 2000 miles and has used a half of tank of def
I bought my '19 back in September and have also been wanting a monitor to know when I'm in a regen and such. I was originally considering the CTS2, but have been leaning more towards the Banks iDash Supergauge due to it's smaller size, lower price and the fact I've heard enough people saying their CTS2 went to crap a number or years after owning it.
I’ve had my CTS2 since I bought the truck, 2 years and 3 months. I really like it and I mounted it in the top left of the windshield - perfect in the line of sight so I don’t have to turn my head. It monitors so much data and with my STX base driver info center, I wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s Murphy’s Law, right. I am the same way, I can log a 400 mile trip and as soon as I turn into the neighborhood, the green light comes on...
Lots of people use forscan to monitor the PIDs but I just like the plug & play detached screen of the Edge unit - easy peasy.
I have had the CTS2 on my 2017 for nearly two years now. No issues. Allows you yo monitor the DPF load, and Gram's per Liter of soot (which the factory DPF screen does not). Tells you when it is in regent, and allows you to monitor all 4 EGT probes. I would certainly buy another. Oh, and it reads codes, so when the truck decided to throw a CEL on a trip, I was able to confirm it was not something that was of immediate concern. (DEF tank heater, but outside air was about 50 so not really needed at the time)
