Calling ford family for vacation help!

Hey family, been working on trying to plan a family vacation for a few weeks now and running out of ideas.. When I asked my better half what she wanted to do, to my amazement she gave me an answer. SNOW! I have been looking at places to go with Snow. We not skiers so ski resorts are sorta pointless.

Few years back like 5 I had found some places that was just like cabins in the mountains. This is what I am looking for but not having any luck searching for places..

Target area: Southern Colorado or northern New Mexico.

If y’all know of any places please let me know.. Thanks in advance

I don’t know if it’s still a thing, but the Durango narrow gauge railroad used to offer a package where you rode the train to a cabin (I think it was a converted caboose) and stayed. Then rode the train back out. We took the train from Durango to Silverton some years ago. It was really cool. Maybe try https://www.durangotrain.com/ride-us/winter#.XfHAqCVlDv4

we live in Northeast Utah, there’s a boatload of stuff here.

We went to Jackson Hole, WY for skiing one year (I know that is not in the cards for you) and spent two or three days touring the Tetons and even taking a snowmobile tour from the south entrance of Yellowstone up to Old Faithful. Probably one of the most enjoyable adventures in the snow I have ever done! There are numerous snowmobile tour outfits in Jackson Hole. Google them and take your pick.

Cheers!

My wife and I honeymooned at the Big Sky ski resort in Big Sky, Montana. She's not very athletic and didn't take to snow skiing, but the weather was perfect so we found a lot of things to do. Her favorite was when we drove down to Yellowstone, rented a snow mobile, and spent the day riding around the park!

They've got a lodge and cabins.
