Well, after a brown Christmas, it's finally snowing. It's coming down pretty good, too. I'm hoping that we get a good amount out of this. My grandpa in the SW corner of the state said there is already 5 inches on the ground. I'd say there's about 2-3 inches here. All I can say is 'keep it coming'. If I was back on the farm I'd be outside. Ran to the store a little while ago and found it starting to get a bit difficult to get around (stupid open differential).
The only thing I don't like about this weather is that a lot of people can't get it through their heads to slow down and drive carefully.
that snow storm in ND is headed my way to iowa weather channel says it will be here monday i hope we do get the snow, we had about a foot on the ground till it warmed up and rained last nigth and the only snow thats left is in the ditches, now its suppose to cool off here and snow this week.
I've already had my share... 24" Friday morning - afternoon and a 20+ hour power outage at my house. Not to mention fighting my way on slick roads all the way to work only to have the power go off there too. I start driving back home to my dark house and have to help push a Toyota Supra convertable by hand uphill on an on-ramp so the rest of us could get by. He could only go 20' at a time before he would rap the engine way up and slide sideways again. After the third time I was able to get around him and though I hope he got home I don't like babysitting 40+ year old men in those conditions - puts me in a foul mood. So home I go to a dark and getting cold house. After hours in the dark I go out with friends only to be sick with a cold and have my girlfriend accidentally insult my father because he retired from the University of Utah after 30+ years - she didn't like the way they plowed the snow. My ex whom I still work with called on the work phone - no problem but it still hurts to hear the voice. Then I get to drop my girlfriend of and go sit in a dark house that is now somewhere below freezing on the inside. The cold are feels like a blow torch on my sinuses every time I breath. Finally the power came back on at about 2:30 a.m. last night - things are better now. I can't wait for spring!
I'm hoping that snow you have in ND will come my way in MN. I hate winter when there is no snow. Winter and snow go hand in hang, without one, you can't have the other.
boy you guys got ti nice. up here I had to snow blow the driveway 8 times already I think think the snowbank at my dads is about 9 feet high already, not that bad though. 2 years ago I could walk on the second story deck without going up the stairs
but then again we have not gotten our snowy seasion yet.
Got about 15 inches in the valley since christmas already - the local ski hill has had 78 inches of fluffy white stuff in the last 3 days!! Time for some skiing!!
