I have a 2015 F-150 FX4. Last year, I had new tires put on and the low pressure indicator as been on ever since (pressure is correct). It has been reset several times, but always comes back on.
I was told that the computer is set for a dually and that's where the issue is. The mechanic told me that it will have to go to a Ford dealership to be resolved.
Obviously I would like to avoid that because it will probably cost a ton to fix.
as mentioned, it is a good bet that one of the sensors is still damaged... WHY would the computer be set to "dually" ? How did it get changed when the tires were installed new ?

Is there a way to correct the issue on my own?
Hmmm, not sure how a 2015 F150 can have a dually tire sensor indicator in it’s computer because the F150 doesn’t come with dually tires.
With that being said, if said tire pressure indicators weren’t a problem before you had your tires replaced, sounds like the installer of your tires either screwed something up when changing the tires like damaging a sensor and replacing it with something else without telling you or a sensor just went bad.
I would just replace all of the sensors but it’ll be interesting to know if all of the old sensors are the same.
Question, how do you know all of the sensors are good?
If I remember correctly, I believe the sensors on a 2015 have to be reprogrammed when replaced and a new set of sensors come with said programmer.

Not true. I bought a new set of sensors when I changed the wheels to 20" and the guys at the tire place just put them in. All was good when done. No programming or anything.
I agree though. Just get a new set of sensors off fleabay and be done with it.
You might not have a sensor in that one tire. They may have just out a regular valve stem in. When you look at your tire pressure readings on the dash, does that wheel just show dashes?
The truck is almost 5 years old now. Wouldn’t hurt to get 4 new ones anyway.
BTW, there is no “dually” setting. If your mechanic told you that, find a new one.
