I ordered it on the 2020 350 XLT I ordered before Thanksgiving.
I'm a firm believer in "having and not needing vs. needing and not having"
I *tried* to search the forums for reviews/opinions just out of curiosity to no avail.
Anyone have the step? Like it? Hate it? Broke it?
Just wondering........
I didn't think it was going to be all that handy. I load motorcycles most of the time and use 2 ramps. The tailgate step has come in waaaay more handy than I thought. Not for loading, but for getting the stuff in the truck bed. The dang truck sits up just a bit too high for me to get my old **** up there easily. It's extremely useful for me.
I love mine. I back into my goosenecks at a 15 degree angle, give or take, and can still use it. If you do drag a lot of things in and out of the bed, you have to be careful about catching on the molding. I'll never order one without one for sure.

I LOVE the tailgate step! I never thought I'd want/need it but it is very handy. On my F150 I also had the bed side steps, they also were very helpful.
I ordered specifically for a trailer puller. Since the step can’t clear the tongue, I didn’t order it. Went with an Amp step off to the side and that works very well for bed access while trailering. Full disclosure..... at 6’3”, hopping onto the tailgate without the step is just as easy!
You will wish you had it the first time you try to swing your leg up on the tailgate or bumper and don't make it or realize you don't that the strength to lift yourself with you knee in your chest
The extended running board are handy for cleaning the rear window and tying loads down. Not so much for reaching anything in the bed
I would never own another truck without it. I have friends that tell me you are too young to need a step.... then they use it and say, dang, I wish I had a step. I use it all the time.
