Can someone please direct me to info/forum posts on how to replace (or repair) the slender keeper that holds the glove box light to the glove box latch?
My keeper is broken off the latch, so the little light stays on all the time. Any part number needed to order will be great too and perhaps a YouTube video. :-)
I don't think the assembly is available new anymore. But you can still find one on eBay that's in good shape and just put a new 194 bulb in it ( or LED equivalent bulb...) when you reinstall it and it should be good to go. Or in the mean time just remove the bulb from the one that's there now to keep from killing your battery. Unlatch the glove box door and let it hang, and use a mechanic's mirror to look at the little 8mm bolt from the backside that's holding it in there...
Ok thanks... I used a twist tie for now to force the push tab to stay pushed in (light off)... for now..... I am fairly maintenance saavy, is this part easy to install or is there some sort of YouTube video I wonder that a DIYer posted on replacing the part?
