You can check all the grounds at pcm while its unplugged too. Hopefully someone has the right diagram. I found this much easier after I took the whole harness apart under the truck. You can check your mlps there too.
Guess I'll pull the computer and check it out. Hopefully I find something obviously wrong. This is driving me crazy. I'll look around for a diagram now.
Mine drove me crazy too! I know alot more than I did though. Lol. You can get a computer at the wrecking yard cheap if you can find the right one. Where you located?

Does it have to be from a 91? Or are there interchanges?
Solenoids signal and power appear to be the same as the one I sent so maybe those are standard. I wouldnt think there would be many configurations to the boards.
I'll be checking it out in the morning and hopefully I find something out of whack. Not much more it could be at this point I'd guess. Did you see my reply about getting 3.4v on the "D" terminal of the ecc relay when unplugged when I'm supposed to get none? What could cause this? And could this be a problem?
Thanks for the help.
The reason I say to put a jumper wire across the relay is so you can isolate that circuit and run your tests with key off. Thought I would clarify. This ended up being the easiest way for me to check everything with the pcm out of the loop. Did you ever ground solenoid 1 and 2 manually to make sure your trans shifts? Good luck.
Thanks to both of you for helping! I didn't try manually shifting with a jumper, actually didn't know I could until now but I pulled the ecm and found this. So I'd guess that's the problem.
This is where I got mine. It was plug and play. $225 with $25 core charge included. Got it fedex with in a few days. I just kept my core. By the looks of yours it may be junk. He can tell you which numbers to match or you will see it on his website. If you have a good wrecking yard you may find one. I would still test continuity and voltage on all wires in question so you dont fry another one. https://www.ebay.com/usr/pro-rebuild
Thanks, I will check that out. I'll check the wires like you said just in case. I'm assuming the wires that crossed on the plug from my first post probably caused this but better safe than sorry.
Yeah, I think it's safe to say you've found the problem. Some people attempt to repair them and just replace those blown capacitors too. So that explains the back feed of a small amount of voltage, coming back up the line evidently.

I was actually half tempted to try it myself. I was thinking the same about the voltage. I'll post again the results but like you said, I'd think this was the problem. Thanks to you both for the help!
