I am tinkering with my truck today, trying to find the source of the clank noise the truck makes while turning.
I noticed by steering shaft is fairly loose and I was messing around with the wheels. I started wiggling some stuff around and noticed that both sides, the inner axle shaft (sorry, my vocabulary is still weak) has a lot of movement and can move in and out almost 1/2". I was thinking it should move at all, but I am so far from being an expert. I wanted to replace my wheel bearings and start actually working on this truck that just sits most of the time
Any insight would be much appreciated. Don't worry, you will not hurt my feelings by correcting me or criticizing
