"Santa" ordered me a Cam yesterday from Cam Research!!! I made dozens of phone calls talking to Comp Cams, Edelbrock and Cam Research doing my due diligence to come up with a good idea of what I needed. While speaking to Comp and Cam Research they both recommended very similar grinds for my needs: 460,D3 heads, Edelbrock EFI, vacuum needs, axle ratio, final rear tire size...... I choose Cam Research for two reasons. #1 is the pre-break in option that they provide #2 I would much rather shop local than mega market. I don't have all the specs with me but will post the Cam Card when it arrives in a few weeks. Thank you for all the PM's and guidance while trying to get this piece of my build figured out!!!!
Congrats, you must have been a good boy this year. Don't $&@k it up, there's still a few weeks left before Christmas. He's gonna find out who has been naughty or nice!
How does that work, gotta buy the lifters from these guys too? They run up a new set of lifters and the cam together, keep them matched to lobes in terms of assembly, and expect the end user not to screw it up, natch. Hm.

Yes, it is slick. But I was disappointed in the box the guy was putting the lifters in.
If it was long two row box marked front or something like that I'd feel better.

The lifters themselves are marked, so it shouldn't matter?
I thought I saw a "5" on one of the lifters, but I watched on a smartphone. I was more interested in the occasional semi-intelligible grunts and mumblings by the machinist. I knew what he was saying. I think.
Yeah I think I heard that too. It scares me when I can understand stuff like that. If you've ever watched anyone interview Keith Richards, he often trails off sentences with complete gibberish and a dismissive handwave. Perfectly understandable.
