Has anyone installed the 5 clearance lights on a 2019 F350? I just bought a 2019 F350 King Ranch off the lot that had every feature and option that I wanted EXCEPT the marker lights. After several hours of research including calling and visiting multiple dealerships, it really seems like Ford doesn't want you to ad the marker lights if they weren't ordered with the truck. The parts and service guys at the dealers aren't able to help. On earlier models up to 2018's, it's a breeze, order the 5 lights and a harness, cut the holes, install lights, plug in harness and done. Any help or tips much appreciated.

Reason: enhance
Farmers Branch, Tx ''Truck Toys', just at the edge of Dallas, $425 marker lights installed, did mine there and they had Superdutys lined up, in fact, they did 7 that day on my '17...45 min...NO LEAKS in a year!
Once the rain stops I'm planning to install them. It really does not look too difficult. You basically pull the headliner, measure out the light placement on the roof (recon has an install guide as to where to place them). and drill a few small holes for the light to mount. Recon provides everything you need including the wiring harness and hardware. I'm going to use and adhesive silicon to create a better seal and to backfill the screw holes for added security/water intrusion.
Hopefully will have some clear weather next week to get them installed! i'll update with a few pictures if I get a chance.
Here are a handful of threads that I found helpful in planning my install:
Mine didn't come with cab lights either but I was on the fence anyway. But ironically, my buddy mentioned there was an OEM set on my local Craigslist. Found the link if you're interested, probably get them to ship
If they will do it in Dallas Tx or San Antonio Tx for $425 then no matter where he is that is the going rate...
Your location has nothing to do with what he might pay in Washington. Here is a nice home in CA that is selling for 800k on a 5,800 square foot lot....I'm sure you can do much better in Texas
I’m looking at 19’s and most dealers won’t order them. Sad as it’s a $100 option or less XPlan. I have found a few trucks with them, however not a build I’m looking for.
Also don’t understand why dealers or trucks with chrome running boards and not power steps. Crazy chrome steps cost as much as the power steps an look like an afterthought.
Sorry not trying to offend anyone that like chrome running boards.
i called multiple shops about installing cab lights and most around here won’t touch them.

Thanks 17Oaks. I'm glad you got yours done. I can do the work myself but it all turns mysterious on the 2019's. I've got p/n's for the lights but nobody can find a p/n for the harness or even tell me if one is needed. Even though my truck doesn't have the marker lights, there's a chance that the proper harness is up there under the headliner.
I added the 17+ OEM SD cab marker lights to my 17 F150(same roof as SD).
I ordered 5 lights and 5 of the wire leads with the plugs on them.
took pics of a SD with cab lights at a dealership for reference.
Put masking tape on the roof so i could measure and draw on. Used a dremel to cut the holes. Headliner drops easily. Grounded the lights above the headliner and ran 1 wire down to the front marker lights and tapcon onto the positive.
looked perfect when i was done besides one of the lights was a touch crooked but was not noticeable unless looking straight down on the cab.
I posted pics in another thread on this a few weeks back.
I wouldn’t own a Superduty without the cab lights. The cool factor alone is worth it.
as far as power steps. Never liked them at all. Expensive to fix when motors fail and the Chrome solid side steps look great, add side of vehicle protection while driving and parked as well.
Power steps..
I used to see it exactly the same way, especially about the door protection. Then, we ordere a new Yukon Denali In 2015. It came with the steps which I didn’t want, but had no choice with the option package we ordered. . They worked flawlessly for five years exposed to a Buffalo Winter. Our 19’ Expy Platinum has them, and so will my 20’ SD. I am giving up the protection and the look, but they swing out farther and lower, and this is the new priority. Much more user friendly when entering and exiting.
The fixed step quality is in the dumper these days.. they peel, pit, and lose their shine..
