Here is how it sits with stock height tires. It is 20” at the closet point to the fender(the lower corner) and 22” to the closest spot to the bumper(the corner where it goes from being boxy to flat plate. Hoping to get it centered with the bumper so it looks right and has room to clear. I did draw on the fender which is slightly visible where i could cut it back and it would make it look rounded better, just needing some input and opinions either way.

I get that it is 2" difference but do you really want to cut into the fender? The difference in measurements comes from the bumper plate not following the fender lines. Once you cut the fender, then you expose the underside of the wheel well to the elements. If it were me, I would leave well enough alone. JMO. With the black bumper, inside fender area, and area around the fender all being black, it's really not that noticeable. Maybe you could touch up the white part of the fender between fender and bumper.

I plan on redoing all the black on the outside so I would be painting that section as well. I dont really want to cut my fenders but i also dont really want to lift it if i can help it. If i could redrill the axle pads about an inch forward it would center it, if not i could use one of the zero rate adds leaves that would allow the axle to be moved but also act as a slight lift. Would it be possible to redrill my axle safely?

Ah, I follow you on the repainting. I think that would remedy the visual part of the measurement difference. Sorry, but I am of no help with the axle drilling question. Far beyond my expertise! LOL.

The black looked awesome when new but has faded/worn off pretty bad so it all looks terrible and at the time i painted it i still ran stock bumpers. I know there is a 1” bolt in block and have found 3/8” thick plate that accomplishes the same thing, others have said a 1/4“ plate is possible. Might just have to do this unless someone says drilling is safe.

Bently_coop, why does it look like yours has soo much room to do the back of the fender? Would you mind measuring what it is from axle center to fender lip?

I'll get some measurements once it's back from alignment.

My '04 Chevy has 4.10 gears and 37" tires. 5.3 gas motor. OD. It runs fine but will not tow, hence the F250. It's the wife's mall crawler.

You have a 7.3 which will have more torque.

really?

Thank you, the measurements would be greatly appreciated. Your gap looks like mine with my stock tires. I really dont want to lift my truck anymore than absolutely necessary, none at all being the best outcome. Partially because it has all new( 3 years or less) springs all around and I just got done lowering the rear so it doesn’t look like a drag car.

From fender to center of hub I have 25 1/4" in rear and 25 3/4" up front.

From bumper to hub is about 18" and from hub to fender is closer to 19"

Measurements are not on level ground, but consistent from side to side.

Any rubbing issues with your fender and tires or ever come close that you’re aware of? Curious how I’m further away unless I miss measured something. And while it’s not of much use you’re over an inch higher in front than I am, my engine and bumper must really weight it down. I think I’m right at or maybe slightly under 24” hub to fender arch in front.

No rubbing here. The fender liner was also pulled back by 4wheel parts during install. My truck has X code springs, eventually I'll go with traction bars for the rear and add F350 rear blocks to get some rake.

Awesome. I’ve got ATS springs all around Xs up front and some heavy duty setup in the rear. Even with my 1” block I’ve got rake. I might try and make a custom plate to move the front axle forward but sounds like everything should work well

2016 f250 6.2L, 295/65/20 basically 35's. Toyo open country at2 extremes and fuel beast wheels. Never regret going larger. Regret not doing it when I bought the truck so I could add it to the loan. Oh well.
