CHMSL rear camera low resolution

So I was using my CHMSL camera the other day while connecting to a gooseneck trailer. I don't use that one that often. Anyway I was thoroughly disappointed with the lack of clarity and resolution of that camera. I could not make out the ball in the bed or even the trailer connection. I knew the resolution was bad just not that bad. Before someone says, "did you clean the lens off?" I did that before I even started. I feel the camera resolution on the 17 and up Super Duty's went down form previous years.

So my question is. Does anyone know a source to get better cameras that will work on the Ford system? Or is the factory nav screen so low res that a high res camera wont do any good?

I agree. Resolution is almost unuseable. I just took my truck to the dealer two days ago and my camera and screen are normal but admitted it is poor. Nothing they can do. I would also like to find an aftermarket camera that improves the resolution. I can't trust the image to see if the tailgate is low enough to not hit the gooseneck. It still helps with lining up but I still get out and check multiple times.

I just got the latest software from the Ford owners' site and installed it. I haven’t spent a lot of time with it yet, but my first impression is that the cameras are more clear and the color is better...

Please keep us updated. I have not been very pleased with the overall camera resolution on this truck, (as I stated above) from any of the 5 that show picture. The High mount cab/third brake camera is by far the worst of the bunch. If a software update can produce better, cool. Though I think it more along the lines of requiring a hardware improvement.
