So Saturday night, in the middle of a 20 hour drive, i auto started my truck at the gas station and when i went to open the driver's door I heard a loud popping noise. I noticed the driver's mirror was trying to auto adjust, not sure why, i was the only driver and the mirror was left how it was set when i got out of the truck. Now, the mirror does not remember the saved position and the auto dimming feature does not work.
I have tried re-programming the saved position, however, it still does not work. I read someplace to shine a light into the rear view mirror to activate the sensor, still nothing.
I spoke with a dealer who said to drop the truck off for a few days, however with my work schedule i dont know if i will be able to get it in before my trip this weekend. Any help is appreciated.
The truck is a 2019 King Ranch, technology package, etc. etc.
Good luck. There are a few of us with this issue and nobody has a resolution so far for the moving part. Not sure why your auto dim doesn't work, I don't think that is electronically controlled.
Just talked to the service manager, i will be able to drop if off tonight and he said he will try and have an answer for me tomorrow. Ill post back with the result.

Are you sure the mirror wasn’t hit or jarred while the vehicle was off?
The truck was by itself parked in front of the store / mcdonalds while we ate. I sat at the table in front where i parked watching it, bows and other hunting gear in the bed, that i didnt want walking off.. There was no spot on one side and three handicapped spots on the driver's side, with no cars or people coming or going.
Mine did it again today. I just went out at lunch to grab something, didn't start it or use the remote I opened the door and grabbed what I needed. as I was about to shut the door the drivers mirror started popping. I just punched setting 2 ( wife's) then punched 1, mine, went back were it needed to be. Haven't taken it to the dealer yet, However it is starting to do it more often. I really need to get it in.
I bought a ‘15 Lariat in January and my left mirror has done this twice. Started three days ago. Maybe for another thread but related: the other day I was making a rather spirited right turn and my doors unlocked and there was a pop up on the instrument panel something to the effect that you can’t make changes to memory settings (seat, mirrors, steering wheel, etc) while driving. ??

Mine also does this on both sides, very annoying. Best way I've found to get it to stop is to switch to another saved position and then back to mine. I wonder if the OP ever found a resolution.
