Oh I forgot I never came back and Posted this. It;s been about 6-7 weeks since they replaced the body control module on my truck Problem has not recurred on my 2018, It was a 2 part repair. they first claimed it was the mirror that "broke" something inside. Well after a good wait on the backordered mirror, then second delay of getting it Painted then Installed on the truck it was it was still doing it as soon as everything was reassembled. So then A body control module was ordered, another 2 weeks wait I wasn't complaining I drove a 2021 Ranger Lariat FX4 for 2 weeks then drove a 2020 Edge Titanium for 2 weeks before getting my truck back. Oh, I bought the Edge Titanium all wheel drive for my wife. She is now a happy camper as well.
Back to the truck. i did have a chat with the dealership manager and the Service manager, they were as unhappy as I during this ordeal. i told them to start with it wasn't a "broken" mirror. as it had been swapping sides but tended to be more left side more often. They are turning in a report to Ford that the original problem was the Body Control module. I am paying for neither repair plus I got to drive 2 really nice new vehicles for free i even wound up getting to free tanks of fuel on the Edge, one when they gave it to me and another after I bought it.
I will say even though it was a Lariat ranger It was about the equivalent of a XLT with Leather seats compared to an F150. Call me spoiled!
