NEED HELP!!! 6.0L NO BOOST
Ok the basics are I just did head gaskets, studs...etc etc etc.
Everything has been done!
Truck runs GREAT! Start immediately hot or cold.
2007 F250 6.0L
So on top of everything else I did, I did a turbo rebuild. Did a KC 360 rebuild as well as a full balanced 10 blade & 11 blade.
So BEFORE I tore my truck apart I started having boost issues. No low end power or boost. When driving the truck it would lack power and slowly speed up then boost would come on strong, over 40 psi. Well I then tore the truck apart to get it fixed. Well it's running and running great but I have absolutely NO low end power and I barely build boost, 5psi if I'm lucky.
I've replaced MAP, EBP, VGT SOLENOID, IAT, map tube and made sure the nipple on the intake was clean and clear. The EBP tube is clean and clear as well.
Even though I've rebuilt turbos before, theres always a possibility I screwed up.
So just for the moment lets just say the turbo is fine....what could be wrong?
The EGR cooler is deleted but ths EGR valve is still present and is clean.
Throwing a P0299 code which obviously fits the issue at hand.
So here I am....lost! Hoping that I some how didnt screw up the rebuild of the turbo. Before someone thinks it has possibly been indexed wrong, that's the only thing I didnt touch(remove) as I had lost the 6mm bolt to remove it. So if it's possible that some how it got screwed on its own, I dont know what could of happened. I didnt have any issues getting the turbo back together.
Please feel free to ask anything you want that could possibly help you help me
Oh so before I forget, the cac boots are in good shape, cant find any issues with them. I'm NOT finding any exhaust leaks, the Y-pipe is mounted flush with the turbo. I did Inspect the exhaust, couldnt find any issues with the bellows. Has a 4" straight pipe. And the biggest obvious reason theres a issues, absolutely NO whistle from the exhaust, theres a deep throaty tone, like a Cummins. And with the 10 blade from KC, it should sound like a damn jet.
