KO2's, excellent traction and fairly quiet.

Is it a dually?

If not you could get aluminum 17s till 2017. They are a bit skinnier so maybe 275 or 285 width is reasonable max.

I and many guys I work with have switched from toyo and nitto mud grips to the Iron man m/t tires. they are $400 less per set of 4, perform well in rain, mud, and snow and can handle a load. I pull a 43' fifth wheel with no issues. they do walk the road a little when new but it goes away quick.

No, it is not a dually. We did buy it used so we don't know all the history.

The general grabber ATX is rarely mentioned, but I have a set on now with nearly 30000 miles and I'm not sure I would try anything else. They are also 3 peak snow rated for places where that matters. Noise is not bad, wear like iron and soooooo much better than the factory wrangler on grass and dirt cow pastures. They also have excellent road manners. I also pull a 34 foot travel trailer most of the summer and have had no issue with this tire.

I would run one of these tires. About $40-50 cheaper than the BFG AT. I know the Cooper and Ridge Grappler is quieter than the BFG in my experience. If you really need to sling some mud I doubt you will want a mud tire if its a dedicated tow rig so maybe look at taking a different path when hunting.

This 285 is as wide as the specs allow on your 7.5 inch rim and these are going to be a taller than your stock tires but similar to the 18 inch rim tires that come stock.

I agree with the General Grabber ATX, I am on my second set of them. I tried the KO2 and the Grabber ATX hands down is the better tire. I am a General Fan for life now. #1 Rated All-Terrain on Tire Rack for a reason. If want pics of them on my truck let me know.

on the inside of the rim should be the specs, diameter x width, and a number for offset....

If you have the factory 17 steel or aluminum it should be 7.5 inches wide. So that 285 width is as wide as you could probably go.

Let us know what you get!
