My 2017 F350 Laraite did not come with adaptive cruise control feature, just standard Cruise control. Was wondering how extensive would it be to have installed all the factory parts required to have this feature. Would all necessary harnesses be already in the truck? Minus the boxes and switches?

 

I was going to start a post regarding something similar to what your asking, although for a number of things. For example:

I have a 2019 F350 XLT 6.7L SCSB 4x4... And I was curious if I could add things like:

- Camera mirrors (mirrors with the cameras at the bottom)
- Front Camera in the Ford emblem
- Front Camera washer
- Adaptive cruise control
- LED bed lights
- Light to the right of the Tailgate handle
- Factory LED headlights and Taillights
- Etc...

My initial guess is that most of the factory wiring would not being in place as this would be extra cost on vehicles that don't have these options, although I could be mistaken. And other items such as Lane Keep Assist, if I'm not mistaken has a camera in the windshield, etc...

I'd have to guess that allot of these things "could" be done, but at what cost. As I sat and thought about it myself I was thinking it might be cheaper to just trade in the truck and buy one with everything already added from the factory, although there are those of us here that like a challenge and could do things like this as time and money allowed....

There's a thread floating around here from a few years ago where someone attempted adding ACC to their 2017 truck. If I recall correctly, they made it happen. But it was a nightmare to get it done.

 

The front and side cameras can be installed aftermarket and still use sync 3. Its like almost 700 dollars though. You can goggle that one. I don't have them either. I will do that mod at a future date as well, as aftermarket LED lights.

 

Here is the thread for adding Adaptive Cruise Control. It seems to be pretty thorough including a parts list and harness mod.
