I bought this truck as a parts truck but its so nice I just cant cut it up . I think it will get a little tinkering, some Marmon Herrington running gear, add gas and drive around . Ok truck detectives. Found the number on the firewall , and same number on glove box door. Model1R8T. F5R1SP18697. The engine was transplanted sometime ago. Looks like a Y block. Mounts are home made but well done. Any information on the serial number is appreciated. I will keep trying to get the pictures . This computer razmataz is tough for a sliver pickin farm kid.
Here’s a start on pictures that Mark has sent me. The truck’s data shows it is a 1951 F-5 V8 built in Saint Paul. The picture shows it has the 5 Star Extra high end trim package. I didn’t save a pic of the F-6 fork lift that will be the M-H donor for this truck. Stu
