How to: Recognize '96 ?
Oh, It gets better with the key thing. I ordered my '96 late in the year when I saw what the '97s were going to look like(sorry guys but back then I couldn't stand 'em,they have grown on me now but would,and will probably buy a Superduty next if my '96 ever wears out.)any way the semi driver left with the keys to my truck when he delivered it to the dealer in the night sometime so they had to call a car opener to get into it and make keys. Come to find out my very late '96 has keys like a '97, they are longer. After repeated tries I never could get the factory keys and every time I tried to order keys I got the wrong ones.I know sometimes you got to outsmart the parts guy but I finally gave up and 97,xxx miles later still using the aftermarket cheapo keys.
