Best source for drum brake kit?
My '01 Ranger (2.3L, RWD) has just crossed 260K miles. It needs new rear brakes. What's the best source (balancing price and quality) for replacement drum/shoe kits for the 9" brakes?
Are there certain brands I should avoid?

I put the autozone duralast on my 94 a few years ago. No issues. Just read an article in a diesel mag and they are using autozone duralast parts on its rebuild and they say theya e good to go, better than OEM. But it is a 95 F350 and its all new front end rebuild. I have been using autozone stuff for some years and only buy the lifetime stuff. Have not had any problems getting new by returning old stuff.

I just ordered all the brake components for the front of my 1975 Ford F-100 for about $100 before shipping from Rock Auto. I have used Rock Auto for several years and for several different vehicles and have had great luck and you get to pick what brand and price you are willing to get.
