Lift Kit and Towing

So, how does adding a lift kit affect your ability to tow a heavy trailer? Does it affect the GVWR allowed?

GVWR is just the tax you pay at registration.

Lifting reduces the capability of the truck by a substantial margin.

I had a 2500 Dodge Cummins that I did 2 inch front coils on and 1 inch deaver minipacks in the rear (remove leafs and blocks and install a spring pack). It still towed ok but even then it lost some ability. Truck functioned fine and looked great. I think the rear ended up being like 3/4 lift and the front a little over 2 inches.
