Bump Stop Extender?

I installed the ReadyLift 2.5" leveling kit and didn't like the nose-high look. So, I replaced the lift blocks with Rough Country 1.5" blocks and left the rest of the ReadyLift kit in place (bump stop extension, track bar relocation, etc). I noticed that I don't have much clearance between the front axle and the bump stops with the extensions in place. Is it going to hurt anything if I remove the extensions and leave the factory bump stops in place? Will that allow too much axle articulation?

Does that kit use shock extensions? If it does, you might run the risk of bottoming out the shock without the bump stop extension. What I'm getting at is, if you remove the bump stop extension, also remove the shock extension, if it has them. As far as over extension goes, there are shocks made for +1",2" etc., although it shouldn't be an issue unless you are really drooping out or flexing hard offroad.

That's one of the things I like about the 2" BDS kit (dont currently have it), no bump stop or shock extensions, just the appropriate length shocks, allowing for more up travel before hitting the stops

Great feedback, thank you!

there are aftermarket bump stops like sumo springs that are larger and even include spacers.
