ignition troubles help requested

ok guys i have a 94 f350 with a 351 from a 95 f150 and a e4od so the troubles im having is the longer the truck runs the worse it runs it starts with a random misfire from time to time then it doers it more frequently it will start to do it at idle when accelerating when cruizing when you let off the throttle sometimes it will back fire a couple times i was pulling my 85 f150 on a tilt bed trailer today and going up a bridge i got some black smoke the truck was just gutless floor the gas petal when trying to accelerate on flat groud it just sounds like its bogging out and i just cant get this figured out its bugging me and my wife is really getting mad please help me out

Is it running really rich or lean? What have you changed out parts wise? If the fuel/air is normal, my gut tells me ignition control module, but one would think that would be consistent in its malfunction...
