This is not a 1 ton (F350), it's a 3/4 ton (F250) because it has 8 lug wheels. F350's have 6 lug wheels.

If you post the VIN, I can give you further info.

Check listings in your area or as close as you can find, prices really vary by area. It looks pretty rust free which makes it worth more than average in my mind.

Super Appreciative for the information. good to know that this is really a 3/4 ton

the VIN is F35586R33088 information tied to that appreciated. the site i would normally use for a VIN search says No Result probably too old.

thanks again.

Something is amiss, truck has F250 8 lug wheels, but the VIN decodes to an F350 that would have had 6 lug wheels.

VIN has 12 digits, should only have 11 and several of the digits are wrong.

F35 = F350 // 5 = ? // 8 = 1958 // 6 = ?? / R = San Jose CA Assembly Plant // 33088 = 1958 Numerical Sequence of Assembly.

4th digit is a letter, decodes to the engine. 6th digit makes no sense because the assembly plant code (R) belongs there.

What is the correct 4th digit of the VIN? It cannot be 5.

If a 223 I-6 = J // If a 292 2V = C // If a 292 4V = D

You can find the vin on the passenger side chassis on top by front wheel. Title could be misprint or error. I have a 1983 vw with a 1972 title. Neighbor had jeep with wrong year. Lots of funny stuff goes on. My 59 f350 has vin on back of glove box door. .numbers on chassis matches but I could put the f600 glove box door on and confuse everyone.

you are right. the VIN is in error on the title. the CORRECT VIN is F35J8R33088

DATE shows 03 on tag with a max GVW at 9800 lbs looks like the net HP was 126 if i'm reading the plate correctly

fournd it in Glove Box. very cool.

I would still double check that VIN against the chassis VIN. Easy to swap out glove box door.

HP is confusing to me. I have the same six cylinder, 126 hp on tag, 139 hp on air cleaner.
