Vent Window

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Remove the door trim panel.
Remove the division bar-to-door panel screw.
Remove the 2 screws retaining the vent window to the door leading edge.
Lower the door window all the way.
Pull the glass run part of the way out of the door run retainer in the area of the division bar.
Tilt the vent window and division bar rearwards and pull the vent window assembly from the door.
Remove the 2 pivot-to-frame screws.
Remove the nut and spring from the lower pivot.
Separate the glass retainer and the pivot stops from the frame and weather-stripping.
To install:

Re-assemble the parts of the window and install the 2 pivot-to-frame screws.
Install the spring and nut. The spring tension should be adjusted so that the window will stay open at highway speeds.
Place the run assembly in the vent assembly.
Place the window and division bar in the door. Make sure the spacer is in position.
Install the window-to-door edge screws.
Install the division bar screw. Adjust the run for proper window operation.
Install the door trim.
