Which front wheel bearing?
Getting noise ,a whine, and trying to establish which side needs replacing. Have put it up on jacks and rolled the wheels but no noise heard. Have driven it down the road steering from side to side but no difference. Have put it in neutral to remove the driveline , noise continues, and whines down as speed decreases. Short of changing both sides, any suggestions?

As was mentioned earlier, you may have to drive it a little longer for enough wear to be able to find it. I would suggest jack the tire off the ground, grab the top or the tire with both hands and pull - push it away from and towards the truck. If you have any play then you found your culprit. At least that's how I found mine.

Check your brakes.
I thought mine was a wheel bearing. Pulled tire off. Started inspection. Slide pin was stuck and inside pad was worn to almost nothing .
Replaced. All's good. It had the classic bearing symptoms minus the play.
