Heater issues

My rear heater and heated seats work fine, but the front heater blows cold. Heater core had been flushed and all doesn't work.. Could a vacuum or bad ac vacuum check valve cause this issue?

The AC vacuum check valve blocks the flow of coolant to the heater core when AC is ON, exactly when this happens depends a little on the type of AC, if it's manual or automatic. If this valve is stuck closed, then you won't get much heat, if any at all. This valve isn't difficult to check if it moves, just see if the arm moves in and out of the bellow. Another thing could be the hot/cold actuator, where the core gets hot, but the airflow bypasses it as the actuator is stuck at cold.

Broken blend doors are a common issue. What is the vehicle?

Depends on the year of the vehicle if it has a shut off valve.

Well, can you be more specific? I'm having similar issues with my 2002 Expedition XLT. This does not have the automatic temperature control, just the manual system.

Thanks in advance!

I can't get TOO specific
My '02 Navigator didn't have a heater control valve

This outfit lists one for an '02 Expy.
Best to look and see if your vehicle has one
