OK yours is a MY2019, yes mine is a MY2018, but it was probably on of the first 50 or so off the line in Dearborn and could have an older version of Sync. I just did a update to sync back in July. All went well but I have never gotten it (last 3 updates) to confirm the installation as FordPass wants a confirmation file from the installation USB. It never gets created. Maybe this is the reason why.
I'm not sure which file that might be but I have the last download: I hope you can read the file list.
Can you ID the file(s) compared to what you downloaded?
This might be a good time to check with Ford Support(?)
I have the Ford Pass Sync 3, and I don't see what its good for. It does show mileage, and oil life.. Some on here say they can start their truck with it, mine has no such way. I took it to the dealer to see if I was just dumb, and the service guys says since I have the "MyKey" fob, it doesn't use the Ford Pass.
Seems like a lot of trouble to update when it doesn't really do anything.
What am I missing?

My 2019 XLT has NO factory remote start option and a 3 button key fob - Lock/Unlock/Alarm.
With Sync3 I can use Ford Pass to remote start, lock and unlock the vehicle with my phone..
I can also use it to see the maintenance data (like oil life, tire inflation) on my phone, as was mentioned. There is more but that's what I use.
A "My Key" is a limited key. IF that's all you have then it's all you have. One or more of the keys should NOT be a "My Key". and if none of your keys are not "My Key" you'll need to pay the dealer to solve that.. "My Key" was designed to fill a need for a key for the valet or maybe a teenage driver and you can limit maximum speed and other limits on vehicle operation. I have no need of that feature, and a locksmith warned me to avoid making any "My Key" if I really didn't need them.
Layers of Tech can make a puzzle of what should be simple I suppose.
I would sure consult a dealer if you think something doesn't work and you want it. If you don't want it, well you can troll the forums I suppose!
Steve I spent most of my money on cars, trucks, motorcycles and boats. The rest I just WASTED!

No mine are totally different. Other than me not remembering the date, it was middle of Oct.

So you must have FordPass Connect whereas the other poster does not hence the reason you can do things such as start your vehicle via the app.
Many times but not every time, FordPass Connect comes standard on the Lariat and above trim levels.
I bought a Lariat 2 weeks ago. Listed in the Standard Equipment section of the window sticker is "FordPass Connect 4GWi-Fi Hotspot Telematics Modem". The Dealer had me download the FordPass App and I have all the features mentioned above. I connected the truck to my home WiFi and updated Sync3 using the WiFi. The App just informed me about a Recall. If you hardwire your iPhone to a USB port in the truck, many of the App features become available on the truck screen. If I understand the manual correctly, to use the truck as a hot spot I need a 'vehicle hot spot data plan'. I don't have a need for that though, I could use my iPhone as a hot spot if necessary.
Well My 2018 F-150 Lariat has My Pass on it. I can tell you the mileage where it is Remote lock, unlock, check tire pressure, fuel level, current mileage, fuel level and oil life. On my wife's 2018 Edge SEL, very limited info is offered and even though it has push button start and almost the same fob as my truck I can't start it with my phone, lock/unlock, wee tire pressure, etc.

You sir are absolutely correct. The window sticker has the "FordPass Connect...." as mentioned by smokemangrp.
And THAT is apparently the real story behind this option functioning (or not functioning) as it does.
Sorry I added to the confusion!
What should be documented and easy is not in this case.
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving Day! I always try to remember those who serve here and abroad so we can celebrate the blessings we have in this great land!
