I have a 2013 F350 and when I put the truck into reverse it says on the dash check parking sensor then I just have to click ok and it goes away because I really don't care what they say is behind me usually snow or something I can look at the camera and/or behind me but its kind of annoying. Any idea how to find or figure out which of the four sensors are going bad as they are anything but cheap through Ford?
There are DTC's for the parking aids but you will need to visit the dealer or use FORScan to get the codes. These codes are not normally shown on the home scanners. I doubt TorquePro will show the DTC's.
Some have had good results with the aftermarket sensors, some haven't. You can get some off eBay with free shipping and FREE RETURNS and try them Four cost less than one from Ford. If you don't get any results, you can then return them.
Thanks, i actually have to have a local shop do some FORScan stuff to the truck I will see if they can diagnose which of them need replaced. Regardless, the one on auto nation ford website you suggested isn't as bad as I heard they were. I was told the little B@$^#$@ were almost $200 each.
