The challenging part is that your 223 mounts on the front corners of the engine and the bellhousing. A 300 mounts on the sides of the engine. Not sure if you could fab up something from the frame or if you would have to install a custom cross member to hold it up. Something wrong with you little 223?

It turns over and has black oil it’s partially disassembled but I was told it was driven to the spot it was parked but that was like 30 something years
They aren't that tough to rebuild and parts can be found. But, many folks are not happy with the power you get from them so if that is the case, don't waste your time. They are a dependable little engine. They always bring a smile when folks see them more than the common small block V8.

Im gonna see if I can get it going I want to keep it because it is the factory motor to the truck/ any chance you know where the vin is it’s not on the door or the glove box
